Indian Navy has invited applications from eligible candidates for applying to the Short Service Commission (SSC) and Permanent Commission (PC) services. While SSC is meant for admitting candidates to the Educational Branch, PC would be admitting candidates in the Executive Branch. Indian Navy mandates that applicants must be unmarried Indian citizens. Short Service Commission is been granted to candidates for a period o 12 years, which can be extended by two more years, subject to the conditions.
For applying to SSC (Education), candidates must be post graduate in Science/Arts/Engineering streams, with a minimum of 60% of marks. For admitting to Permanent Commission, candidates are required to be graduates/post graduates in Arts/Science/Engineering/Management streams.
