The ongoing Regional International Film Festival of Kerala (RIFFK) 2022 paid tributes to late artists of the Indian Film Industry who immensely contributed to the growth of Indian Cinema. RIFFK gave tributes to Dilip Kumar, Lata Mangeshkar, KPAC Lalitha, Nedumudi Venu, P Balachandran, KS Sethumadhavan, Dennis Joseph, Buddha Devadas Gupta and Madamb Kunjukuttan.
The function was held at the Saritha Theatre, Ernakulam.
Veteran Malayalam actor Janardhanan lit the lamp first followed by Academy Chairman Ranjith Balakrishnan, Joshy and Vice Chairman Premkumar.
The Chairman of the Kerala Chalachithra Academy spoke in tribute to the departed artists. Chalachithra Academy Secretary Ajoy thanked the audience. RIFFK will end on April 5.
Day three of the Regional International Film Festival of Kerala in Kochi saw 15 films being screened in the three venues. Some of the notable films screened were Costa Rican film ‘Clara Sola’ and Malayalam film ‘Vida Parayum Munpe’.
