Objection from health department; KSRTC long distance service will not be available soon

Transport Minister AK Sasindran has said that the long-distance service of KSRTC, which was announced to start from tomorrow, will not be available soon. The decision was reversed following protests by the health department over the rising number of contact patients.

Many district headquarters are in the Containment Zone. There are currently 498 hotspots in the state. Many employees have become ill. In this situation, the decision had to be changed considering the warning given by the health department, Saseendran said in a press conference.

There are situations where you have to go into strict control, many depots are closed. The minister said that even short-distance services would have to be considered stopping. Earlier in the day, the minister had said that 206 long-distance services would start tomorrow.
