Police did not take any action against the man who displayed his nudity in front of the female doctor. A month ago, the doctor was assaulted while conducting an examination through the e-Sanjeevani portal. Thambanur police registered an FIR after 10 days on the doctor's complaint. The doctor told News that despite having clear information about the accused, the police are showing complacency.
“It was night duty on January 25. The call came at 11.53. A 25-year-old boy. Address shown as Rahul Kumar, Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh. First there was no audio and video. Later the face was clearly seen. I repeatedly asked what was wrong but there was no answer. The message 'I can't see you' came in the chat box. As soon as he finished saying this, he lowered the camera and started masturbating. A complaint was filed the next day. The FIR was filed after 10 days,” said the doctor.
Thampanoor police registered the case and transferred the case to Kazhakoota citing technical reasons. Meanwhile, the accused's parents approached the doctor with a demand to withdraw the case. The doctor explained that the accused's father said that a similar case had been registered in 2022 and that case was ongoing. Rahul's name shown while registering for treatment is fake. The accused is a PG student. Even though there is clarity about the accused, the police is continuing to move slowly. The doctor said that the police explanation is that the accused is absconding and they are trying to find him.
