This is the surprise prepared by BJP! Sreedharan Pillai against PC in Pathanamthitta.

Preparations for the Lok Sabha elections have almost started. PC George, who came with the Jana Paksha Party and merged with the BJP, got the impression that he would contest the seat unilaterally until the last moment, but reports are now coming out that he has no life. Sreedharan Pillai also made it to the list of BJP candidates in Pathanamthitta. It is indicated that Sreedharan Pillai has been included as the first name in the list of the state to overcome the central leadership's move to field PC George from Pathanamthitta.

The current situation shows that the BJP state leadership is reluctant to field PC George, who has switched fronts and joined parties several times. The name of PS Sreedharan Pillai is coming up especially in an area where the BJP has influence like Pathanamthitta. Reports indicate that Sreedharan Pillai has expressed his willingness to resign as governor to contest the elections. Sreedharan Pillai's tenure will end this coming October. Taking this into consideration, it is more likely that PC will be cut and Pillai will be fielded in Pathanamthitta. Meanwhile, Kummanam Rajasekar's name is not included in the list of Pathanamthitta. It is indicated that he will stay away from the competition this time. Early reports indicated that PC George Kummanam Rajasekharan would be the BJP candidate for Pathanamthitta.

Apart from this, Sobha Surendran has also been included in BJP's consideration list in Kollam and Pathanamthitta. After Thrissur, Pathanamthitta is one of the most hopeful constituencies of the BJP in the state. The current state president K Surendran, who contested here in the last Lok Sabha elections, secured 2,97,396 votes. BJP leader PC George had earlier responded that he would become a candidate if the party suggested him. PC had also said that Pathanamthitta is a safe constituency for BJP. Also, the PC had clarified that if the Jana Paksha contests after its merger with the BJP, it will be only in Pathanamthitta.
