Bex, who worked for a private company in Abu Dhabi on September 7, 2012, had a life-changing incident. A Sudanese boy has been killed in a car accident on his way to Mussafah for work. Abu Dhabi police have filed a chargesheet against Bex Krishnan, who was charged with manslaughter on the complaint of the child’s parents. Bex was sentenced to death by the UAE Supreme Court in 2013 after months of trials after it was found that the car had crashed into a group of children who were playing on the basis of CCTV evidence and witness statements.

The family’s request for MA Yousafzai’s release through cousin Sethu came at a time when all efforts to secure the release of Bex, who was being held in Abu Dhabi’s Al Watba prison, were unsuccessful. Yusufali had several discussions with the child’s family in connection with the case and was able to convince them by telling them things. At one point, the family had to be relocated to Abu Dhabi from Sudan.

Bex’s incarceration came to an end after the boy’s family told the court they could apologize after years of ongoing discussions and meetings. Yusufali himself filed a lawsuit in court last January seeking Dh5 lakh in damages. Bex Krishnan will return home the next day after completing the legal process, sources said.
