Xiaomi is all set to launch Xiaomi Mi 7 and Mi 8 during an event in Shenzhen by this month end. Well, a leaked image of the structured 3D light module of Mi 8 has made its presence felt in Weibo. Strikingly similar to the TrueDepth Camera and Face ID of iPhone X in terms of appearance, the 3D Module is accompanied by a modified version of the MIUI for the notch.
While we are yet to have an official information regarding the same, it is been reported that Mi 8 would be the first Android Phone to come with 3D facial scanning support. The system is believed to be a joint venture of ‘Qualcomm’, ‘Himax Technologies’ and ‘Truly Opto Electronics’. Mi 8 is Xiaomi’s 8th Anniversary Edition, which is expected to come with a number of interesting features.
