As Narendra Modi led central government has sworn into power officially today, Kerala has got its share of presence in the Ministry. Veteran BJP leader from Kerala, V Muraleedharan has taken oath as Union Minister during this second term of NDA government. Incidentally, he is also the only person from Kerala, who has managed to make his presence felt in the Ministry.
Started off his political life as an active ABVP activist, V Muraleedharan has gone onto become the National Secretary of ABVP. Earlier, he had served as the Vice Chairman and Director General of Nehru Yuva Kendra under the Ministry of Vajpei government. Having contested and failed to open his account in Lok Sabha from Kozhikode and Kazhakkoottam in 2009 and 2016 respectively, the veteran leader however has managed to make his presence in the Raja Sabha from Maharashtra from 2018.
