With two different opinions being casted inside the group, Kerala Congress camp is fuming with tensions. While a section of the group, led by Mons Joseph MLA advocates for PJ Joseph for the post, another section found against the interest of the party rules. The sad demise of veteran leader KM Mani has created a void in the camp and Mons Joseph MLA has drafted a letter to the speaker for positioning PJ Joseph as the party’s Parliamentary leader. The letter drafted by Mons Joseph supported PJ Joseph, pointing out his deputy leader status.
However, Roshi Augustine has drafted a counter letter to the speaker, stating that positioning a deputy leader as the parliamentary leader of the party, was against the existing rules of the party. It has to be seen how the speaker is going to take a final decision on this latest found issue inside the Kerala Congress camp.
