In the controversial case of murdering Uthra (25), husband Sooraj (27) has confessed the crime. It was when he was brought for interrogation by the forest department, that Sooraj confessed the crime before the media. Though he was showered with tons of questions, he simply uttered that “It was me”. It was on May 7th that Uthra, who hails from Anchal, was found dead in her bedroom, and soon then they found the presence of a snake in the room.
From the initial days itself, family of Uthra had developed suspicious of the attitude of Sooraj. Later, the investigating officials maintained that the two previous occasions, when Uthra was bitten by the snake, was the failed attempts made by Sooraj to kill her. Investigating officials have gone onto arrest Sooraj and Kalluvathukkal Suresh Kumar (47), who reportedly had given the snake to Sooraj.
