The two high profile projects – ‘Kaduva’ and ‘SG 250’ were in the news for the conflict of interest, in the storylines. While the former, which announced last year, stars Prithviraj, the latter is the official 250th project of Suresh Gopi. Earlier, ‘Kaduva’ script writer Jinu Abraham approached the court, citing that ‘SG 250’ had violated the copyright terms. He maintained that the title character of ‘SG 250’ was incidentally registered by him for ‘Kaduva’. However, it seems like both these reel characters are not going to work, unless approved by the real ‘Kuruvachan’, Kuruvinakkunnil Kuruvachan from Meenachil, Pala.
That said, the real Kuruvachan said that he wouldn’t approve both these filmmakers to move with their projects, if they are based on his life. According to him, he had already given consent to Ranji Panicker for making a film out from his life. Though he maintains that he and Ranji Panicker hadn’t signed in on the dotted lines, the real Kuruvachan, however said that he had his words, which is still reserved for Ranji Panicker. The legal fight that takes place between Kuruvinakkunnil Kuruvachan and a top level police officer, forms the backdrop of the stories of both ‘Kaduva’ and ‘SG 250’.
