The Thrissur Pooram fireworks which were postponed thrice due to adverse weather, will be held at 4 pm on Friday if the rains subdue. Devaswom officials confirmed the date of fireworks today.
The Thrissur Pooram fireworks was initially scheduled for 3 am on May 11 after the main festival at the Vadakunnathan Temple. However, due to rainfall, the event was repeatedly postponed.
Prior to the main festival, a sample fireworks display was conducted. The fire explosives are kept in a godown with police protection.
