Tamil actor Surya’s film to be banned in Tamil Nadu. The Tamil Nadu Theater and Multiplex Owner Association has decided not to release the movie which stars Surya and movies from his production company, 2D Entertainment.
Surya’s wife and actress Jyothika’s new movie ‘Ponnamma Vandal’ was decided to be released on online platform (OTT Platform) instead of releasing it directly in theatres. The film was produced by 2D Entertainment. Following the announcement of the lock down in the country, Jyothika’s movie was decided to be released on Amazon Prime.
Tamil Nadu Theater and Multiplex Owner Association’s R. Panneerselvam told media persons that Surya’s decision was condemned. “We have asked the producers to reconsider the decision and if they do not agree, the production company or its associated films will have to be released online and the theater release will not be allowed,” he said.
Sudha Konkara’s ‘Soorarai Potru’ is the next movie to be released. Surya is starring opposite Malayalam star Aparna Balamurali.
