Palakkad: Actor and BJP leader Suresh Gopi with Kaithang to the children of Kongad, Palakkad who are under threat of confiscation.
Suresh Gopi informed that the home loans of these orphans whose parents have died will be settled.
Suresh Gopi informed that he will take over the children’s home loan liability and transfer Rs 260000 to the bank.
Surya Krishna and Arya Krishna, natives of Kongad, were worried that they would have to leave their home after receiving continuous notices from Palakkad Bhupanaya Bank.
Suresh Gopi came with a helping hand when news of their plight came to light. Arya Krishna will also get back the foundation of the house.
In 2018, Krishnankutty, a laborer, built a house with an area of 500 square yards at a place in Kongad Nayadikunnu with 2 lakh rupees received from the panchayat.
The remaining two lakh rupees were borrowed from Palakkad Bhupanaya Bank. Krishnankutty died of cancer before the house was completed.
Surya Krishna, a plus two student, and Arya Krishna, a plus one student, became orphans when their mother, who raised her children by going to work in a hotel, died three years ago.
With this, the home loan liability has fallen on the children. The debt in the bank is more than 4 lakhs including interest.
The halfway house was completed with the help of the children’s school.

As the close relatives are not ready to take over, the children are in the care of neighbors who are wage labourers.
