Students pursuing foreign MBBS need to clear NEET

The govt. is planning to introduce a mandatory regulation of clearing NEET, for all those who want to study MBBS. While the eligibility test is mandatory for getting admission to MBBS course in Indian institutes, the latest regulation will be wielding its hands over foreign institutes as well. As was informed by officials, the proposal is at an advanced stage, is in line with the below par performance of foreign graduate students at the Foreign Medical Graduates Examination (FMGE).

FMGE, which is a licensure examination conducted by the Medical Council of India for students, who studies medicine abroad, is having a passing percentage between 12 to 15 percentage. The movement is meant for ensuring quality in Medical profession and equipping candidates, who are able in the field.
