A student was injured after falling from a private bus which closed the door before boarding the bus. The unruly behaviour by private bus drivers on students continues in the state.
The victim is a class 12 student names Devaraj who sustained severe injuries. The automatic door was closed as soon as he boarded a private bus plying on the Alappuzha-Kadapuram route along with other children. Devaraj suffered injuries to his chin, forehead and left ear after falling off the bus. The student sought treatment at the General Hospital.
In a similar incident last week, a Class 11 student of the same school had fallen from the bus.
The children said that the bus often does not stop when students arrive in large numbers. There are also complaints that some buses are diverting the route to avoid carrying students. Private buses are breaking the law due to absence of police in school premises.
