Snake in school lunch in Bengal; 30 children were admitted to the hospital in critical condition

Snake found in school lunch in West Bengal About 30 children who ate the food were admitted to the hospital. The incident took place at a primary school in Mayureshwar in Birbhum district.

On Monday afternoon, the children who ate the food provided by the school were sick after vomiting. On inspection, a snake was found in one of the food containers. The children were immediately taken to the nearby Rampurghat Medical College.

Mayureshwar Block Development Officer Dipanjan Jana said that complaints were received from different parts of the village that the health condition of the children who had eaten school food had worsened. Jana said that the primary school inspector of the district was informed and an investigation would be conducted at the school immediately.

Except for one child, all the other children left the hospital. It is reported that the child in the hospital is out of danger. After finding a snake in the food, the locals stopped the school headmaster and broke the headmaster’s bike.
