Sabarimala Spot booking to begin from Thursday

Spot booking for Sabarimala Darshanam will begin from Thursday. Kerala government informed the High Court that the facility has been set up at ten places. Pilgrims who have not booked in advance can avail this facility. This is in addition to the virtual queue system.

Earlier, the high court had directed Devaswom and the government to take a decision on setting up spot booking facilities at ‘idathavalam’ stations. The  bench also directed to publish in the media where spot booking facility is available. This was while considering petitions seeking the transfer of control of Virtual Queue system to Travancore Devaswom Board.

Aadhar card and voter ID is mandadatory for Sabaraimala spot booking. Passport can also be used in addition to the above ID’s. The government has also announced changes to the software so that passports can be used for bookings through Virtual Queue.
