Actor and director RNR Manohar has passed away

Actor and director RNR Manohar (61) has passed away. He was under treatement at a private hospital in Chennai for Covid & following illness. He died of a heart attack on Wednesday afternoon. He started his career as a co-director in KS Ravikumar’s Band Master. He later acted in his film Suryan Chandran.

Manohar made his acting debut in the Tamil film Kolangal directed by IV Sasi. She also acted as IV Sasi’s assistant director in the film. He has acted in over fifty films including Dil, Veeram, Salim, Miruthan, Andavan Kattale, ‘Kanchana 3’, ‘Ayogya’, ‘Kappan’, ‘Kaithi’, ‘Bhoomi’, ‘Teddy’ and ‘4 Sorry’. Vishal’s ‘Veerame Vaagai Soodum’ is also the last film.

Manohar made his directorial debut in 2009 with ‘Masilamani’. The film stars Nakul and Sunaina in the lead roles. He also directed the 2011 film ‘Vellore Mavattam’ starring Nanda, Shamna Kasim and Santhanam in the lead roles.
