Police have arrested a Popular Front activist in connection with the murder of RSS activist Sanjith in Palakkad. Police say he was directly involved in the murder. However, the Palakkad SP said that further details of the accused could not be disclosed.
On November 15, at nine o’clock in the morning, the Sanjith, a native of Elappully, was hacked to death by a group of people in front of his wife at Mambaram a short distance from his wife’s house. There was fifteen cuts all over his body. The police explained that the murder was politically motivated. BJP claims that SDPI activists were behind the incident. But SDPI denied the allegations.
