Reduction of film stars remuneration; MACTA has no part, says Jayaraj

The film industry is facing a severe crisis due to lockdown. Most moviegoers are having trouble with all the theaters being closed. Meanwhile, rumors have circulated that the filmmakers are ready to cut their wages by 50 per cent. MACTA has come up with a response to the issue. Director Jayaraj, who is also the chairman of the organization, said this in a press release. Jayaraj said that MACTA does not interfere in the professional and professional matters of the film stars.

They are willing to cut the wages of film workers by 50% and the daily wage by 25%. He says this information has been communicated to the Producers Association and the Film Chamber and has seen in the news. Jayaraj, however, said the Malayalam Cine Technicians Association had no involvement in the news that was going on in the name of MACTA on many major channels. With this, Macta is firmly against fake propaganda.
