Peranpu is a bilingual film directed by Tamil director Ram, with Mammootty as the protagonist. Peranpu is a film that has attracted the attention of Rotterdam Film Festival and Shanghai Film Festival – China. Peranp has topped the IMDb 2019 list of the best Indian films in the world, which is now the world’s most popular site that determines the ratings of movies and television programs.
Peranp is the story of the emotional relationship between Papa (Sadhana), a specially physiological and psychological condition called Spastic Paralysis and her father, Mammootty, a taxi driver. Peranp came in first behind Uri and Gully Boy. Parenp said that not only was the show a scandal, but it was also the actor acting as Mammootty.
Along with Mammootty and Sadhana, the film also features Anjali, Samudrakani and transgender Anjali Amir. Yuvan Shankar Raja, son of Ilayaraja and famous music director, composed the film. Theni Ishwar handled the camera and Surya Prathman edited. The film was produced by AL Thenappan. The film was shot in Kodaikanal on the set and in Chennai.
