Don’t forget the deadline this time for filing an income tax return is extended. Initially central govt. extended the income tax filing date until June 30. The Central Board of Direct Taxes (DTC) has further extended the date to July 31 amid Corona virus outbreak.
As the filing date for the return has been extended, the deadline for tax-exempt deposits has also been extended to July 31. This includes all LICs in Section 80C, PPF, NSC, Medicare in 80D and contributions in 80G.
