Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan has informed the press that the remaining SSLC – Higher Secondary examinations of this year, would be conducted as was planned earlier. While addressing the press, he said that there was some misunderstanding regarding the exams earlier the day, the result of which reflected in the decision to postpone the exam in the morning. CM also added that the state government does not intend to enter into a dispute with the central government on such matters at this stage. The Chief Minister was responding to a query by media persons as to why a different statement was issued in the morning.

“The SSLC and PLUS exams will be held from May 26 onwards. The approval of the central government was delayed. There was a misconception about this. The government did not want any clashes with the Center,” said the Chief Minister.

While reacting to the queries, Pinarayi Vijayan also stated that the exams must be conducted at the right time. He also ensured that all the preparation for the exam was ready. CM said that preparations are being made to conduct the university examinations properly. Online classes, stated to start in the month of June cannot be offered in schools. Plans are underway to provide facilities for children who do not have online access. He hoped that the online study would be a great success.
