Minister V Sivankutty lashes out at BCCI for India’s defeat in T20 World Cup Semi Finals

Minister V Sivankutty criticized the BCCI and the selectors after India lost by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup semi-final on Thursday.

“We lost the World Cup because of the partiality of the selectors and the quota selection. Dinesh Karthik and Rishabh Pant were chosen for the wicketkeeper-batsman position over the Malayali player Sanju Samson who was in good form, but they could not even score more than two-digit score’, wrote Sivankutty on Facebook.

The minister also criticized considering Rishabh Pant, who was out of form, for the next matches. Minister Sivankutty used to share his opinion on sports games through social media.

Sivankutty also blamed the team selection for the one-day series against Bangladesh and the fact that Sanju was left out of the team. “Rishabh Pant and Dinesh Karthik, who were included in the World Cup team as wicket-keeper batsmen, could not cross double figures even in a single game. Both were picked in the team after the in-form Sanju, who is a good power hitter. It has already been clarified that this is a complete injustice.”

India on Thursday lost to England by 10 wickets in the T20 World Cup Semi-final match. On Sunday, Pakistan and England will lock horns for the final match.
