Mahatma Gandhi University, Kottayam has breached the UGC regulations. The colleges under MG University, are allowed to conduct the valuation of the semester exams of UG students in their respective colleges. With this, colleges under MG University have gained autonomy in the valuation procedures of their 2nd semester UG students’ examinations. The decision taken by the MG University syndicate board has invited flaks from academic circles.
The move from MG University is seen as a blind violation of the regulations of UGC, as the apex institution insists Universities to insert false numbers to answer sheets and arrange a transparent system.
