May 30: Kerala confirmed 58 Covid positive cases

Today, Covid 19 has been confirmed to 58 people in Kerala. The number of covid patients in district wise is as follows,

Thrissur – 10

Palakkad – 9

Kannur – 8

Kollam – 4

Idukki – 4

Ernakulam – 4

Kozhikode – 4

Kasargod – 3

Thiruvananthapuram – 2

Alappuzha – 2

Kottayam – 1

In addition to the above, 7 Air India employees were also diagnosed with the disease.

The above list includes the test results of a person who died yesterday while undergoing treatment for liver disease in Alappuzha district. Of these, 17 were from overseas (Kuwait-6, UAE-6, Oman-2, Saudi Arabia-1, Qatar-1, Italy-1) and 31 from other states (Maharashtra-19, Tamil Nadu-9, Telangana-1, Delhi-1). , From Karnataka-1). One health worker (Palakkad) and 2 others got infected through contact (Kollam and Palakkad).

The state also recorded 10 negative results today. 4 persons from Malappuram (one hails from Palakkad) and 3 from Thrissur district; Thiruvananthapuram, Kottayam and Kannur districts accounted for the rest of the negative results. The state, right now, has got a total of 624 positive cases, while 575 people were released.

In the last 24 hours, 3206 samples have been sent for inspection. So far, 65,002 individuals (including the augmented Sample) have been sent for sampling, out of which 62,543 samples have turned negative. In addition, a total of 12,255 samples were collected from priority groups, such as health workers, guest workers, social contacts, as part of Sentinel Surveillance, and 11,232 samples hae turned negative. Today 5 more areas have been converted into hotspots. The new hotspots are Manikkal in Thiruvananthapuram District, Palakkad Municipality, Thachampara, and Pattambi from Palakkad district, and Madapalli in Kottayam district. The state has a total of 106 active hotspots right now.
