As ‘Dreams’ tanked at the box office, MA Nishad was desperate to have a hit movie for the survival. It was a low budget film ‘Thillana Thillana’, that made resurrected MA Nishad. According to MA Nishad, it was Baiju, who convinced stars like Jagathy Sreekumar to act in the movie without charging their fee. ‘Thillana Thillana’ surprisingly made some good collections, and MA Nishad credits this success to one man – Baiju, besides all the artists, who decided to not charge fee from him. His friendship with Baiju begins while both were in their schools and colleges. MA Nishad remembers Baiju, who was already a star back then, maintaining a large group with him – always. The ace director maintained that Baiju hasn’t changed a bit since then.
