July 20 Kerala Covid Update: Kerala registered 794 new cases, 519 cases through transmission

Kerala registered a total of 794 new Covid positive cases. The number of samples that turned negative stands at 245. With this, the total number of covid cases in Kerala has reached 13,274, while the state’s total active cases have reached 7,611. A total of 5,618 people have recovered from the disease. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 148 are from overseas, while 105 came from other states.

The state has registered 519 cases through transmission in the past 24 hours, out of which the source of 24 are yet to be traced down. 15 health workers, 2 BSF officers and 4 KSC workers have been tested positive for the disease. The state has also recorded 1 more Covid death case, taking the tally to 43.

Right now, 1,65,233 people are under observation, with the number of institutional quarantine standing at 7,710. Today, Kerala has tested a total of 14,640 samples. With this, the total number of samples tested by the state, stands at 5,46,000. The results of 5,969 test results are yet to come. Today, a total of 871 people have been admitted to hospitals. The state has a total of 337 hotspots right now.
