Kuthampully Handloom village visited by Kerala Responsible Tourism Department

The Kerala Responsible Tourism Department has visited the Kuthampully Handloom village in Thrissur. The visit was in line with adding the site into the list of Responsible Tourist Spots. In line with the instructions given by Tourism Minister, a team of Responsible Tourism coordinators visited the site. After engaging with the weavers, who are part of handloom village, authorities maintained that they would be paying much an attention towards boosting the tourist related activities in the village.

The Responsible Tourist coordinators have made some of their interesting plans, such as creating an online platform for the trading of various handloom products. However, they were reluctant in making any official statements, since the Election Commission’s Model Code of Conduct election is still in action, which will only be revoked once the Assembly Election Results are out.
