Kerala University becomes first in state to receive A++ rank

Kerala University becomes the first varsity in the state to receive an A++ rank in National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC), after receiving 3.67 points out of 4.

This is the first time that NAAC has given the highest rank to a university in Kerala. An institution that achieves a score of 3.51 to 4, is given an A++ grade.

The university is now eligible to get projects worth up to Rs 800 crore from the University Grants Commission. A peer team of the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC) had visited the University for its third cycle of accreditation on the 13th.

Kerala University was first accredited in 2003 with a rating that fared at B++. Later in 2015 it was re-accredited with an A grade.
