According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), a low pressure is likely to form in the Bay of Bengal and widespread rains will lash Kerala for the next five days. The state is likely to witness isolated heavy showers on Monday and Tuesday.
Yellow alert has been declared in eight districts namely Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Pathanamthitta, Alappuzha, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Idukki and Palakkad on Sunday.
Also, 12 districts except Kannur and Kasaragod are on yellow alert on Monday and Tuesday.
