The pictures with right and left candidates Shashi Tharoor and Panniyan Ravindran are noteworthy. Tharoor pointed out that it was not Panniyan but the CPI that was criticized and nothing was intentional. Tharoor asked Pannyan to avoid misunderstanding. Pannyan Ravindran replied to Shashi Tharoor that although he disagreed with some remarks, he had no enmity with anyone.
During the phone conversation, Tharoor said that he always had only respect for Pannyan. Tharoor's explanation was that he made the remark in the sense that the Congress MP would get a chance to speak in Parliament rather than the CPI MP.
Earlier, Shashi Tharoor had made a controversial statement during the election campaign. Tharoor's first statement was that the contest was between him and Rajeev Chandrasekhar and the CPI had nothing to do with it. Shashi Tharoor had also asked whether Pannyan has the courage to say that he will win after this. Pannyan Ravindran came directly in response to this. Pannyan replied that he was the one who won from Thiruvananthapuram with a bigger majority than Tharoor. Pannyan Ravindran pointed out that although Tharoor is a great thinker, he lacks practical knowledge.
