Today I had a completely different experience in my political life.
He became one of over a hundred people who were subjected to unjustified and unjustified tear gas and water cannon firing by the Kerala Police for being part of a peaceful rally.
The tear gas was fired without any provocation when the leader of the opposition was addressing a public meeting held with all legal permissions. The tear gas shell fell at the back of the stage. Then there was the sudden use of tear gas and water cannons.
With excruciating pain in my skin, eyes and lungs, I spoke to the DGP and protested against this police brutality.
The use of tear gas on the stage where many MPs and MLAs were sitting as people’s representatives should be considered as a violation of the privileges of the people. It is legally binding.
Kerala has fallen under the rule of law breakers who have given complete freedom to encroach upon the law abiding. I also take this opportunity to say that the responsibility of this heinous attack lies with the Chief Minister of Kerala.
