Kerala confirmed 2 more Covid 19 cases, 14 left hospital today

Thiruvananthapuram: Two more Covid-19 cases were confirmed in the state today. 14 people cured and left hospital. Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan said during his daily press meet after the corona review meeting.

One each from Kasaragod and Malappuram districts have been confirmed Covid postive today. One of them came from Maharashtra and the second person’s infection is caused by contact with someone else.

Palakkad – four, Kollam – three, Kannur, Kasargod – 2 each, Pathanamthitta, Malappuram, Kozhikode – one person each diagnosed negative today and they left hospital.

So far 497 people have been diagnosed with the disease. Of those, 111 are currently undergoing treatment. There are 20711 people under surveillance. There are 20285 patients in the homes and 426 in the hospitals. Today, 95 people have been admitted to hospitals.

So far, 25973 samples have been sent for testing. Of these, 25135 were not infected. A total of 1508 samples from the priority categories were collected separately. Of those, 897 are negative. Kannur district has the most number of patients – 47. Kottayam 18, Idukki 14, Kollam 12, Kasaragod nine, Kozhikode four, Malappuram Thiruvananthapuram two each, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam and Palakkad one each.

The Chief Minister said that three cases which were declared positive by the district collector in Idukki district on the last day were negative.
