“K Surendran handed over padayatra replacement”; Will go to Delhi

Kozhikode: BJP state president K Surendran's padayatra has been handed over to a substitute. Padayatra substitutes were assigned to go to Delhi.

The padayatra will be led by MT Ramesh in Ernakulam and Abdullakutty in Malappuram. K Surendran is going to Delhi for candidate discussions.

K Surendran is accompanied by organizing secretary K Subhash, former presidents PK Krishnadas, V Muralidharan and Kummanam Rajasekharan.

Although the candidates are going for discussions, they will inform the central leadership of their displeasure that no action was taken against the IT cell convener in the song controversy during the padayatra.

There was criticism even from within the party that a song criticizing the central government was played during the padayatra. Following this, K Surendran approached the central leadership demanding action against the IT cell convener.

But the Centre's stand was that it was a mistake and no action was required. The lyrics of the video song are 'Get together to get rid of the corrupt central government strategy'.
