As was informed by the Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan, Kerala has marked its new record daily figure with a total of 141 new positive cases. This is the fifth consecutive day that Kerala is marking a daily Covid figure of 100+. On the other hand, the number of samples that turned negative stands at 60. With this, the state’s total Covid tally stands at 3,451, with 1,620 active cases, while 1,807 have recovered so far from the disease. The state also marked its 23rd Covid death today, when Kollam Mayyanad native Vasanthkumar succumbed to death. Amongst those who have turned positive today, 79 are from overseas. 52 came from other states, while 10 got the disease through transmission, including a health worker.
Right now, the total number of people under observation in the state has touched 1,50,196, with 2206 are under institutional quarantine.

Today, Kerala has tested a total of 4,473 samples. Till date, Kerala has tested 1,44,649 samples, while that of tests conducted under sentinel survey a total of 38,551 samples were tested, out of 38,551 have turned negative. Results of 2,266 samples are yet to come. Today, a total of 275 people are admitted to hospitals. Kerala, right now, has a total of 111 hotspots.
