Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has asked the public to continue staying vigilant, as the number of positive cases through transmission is puzzling the state, like never before. Today marked the biggest daily toll in Kerala till date with a total number of 141 positive cases, out of 10 turned positive through transmission. The state capital, Thiruvananthapuram is under high alert, with authorities asking the shops in the city to remain open in alternate days. Strict instructions are also given to the public, while only 50 per cent of the total working force is allowed to be present in government offices.
In Thiruvananthapuram, 8 have become positive through transmission. Four people from a single family, too have turned positive. In another worrisome case, 5 children from Palakkad under the age of 10, have turned positive. CM, while asking the public to stay vigilant, reminded that the sword of community spread still hangs above the head of the state.
