The country has witnessed the 17th consecutive day of oil price hike. The Oil Marketing Companies have increased the price of petrol by 20 paisa, whereas that of the diesel met with an increase of 51 paisa. Thus, in seventeen days, the prices of petrol and diesel have risen by a total of Rs. 8.56 and Rs. 9.42 respectively.
It seems like the 90 mark is not far away for petrol, while diesel might go for a bullish run to hit the 80 mark in the coming days. Ever since India started adopting the dynamic fuel price method from June 2017, the price of oil has come under the direct control of the Oil Marketing Companies. After a gap of more than 80 days, it was on June 7th, which the oil prices in the country have started gaining momentum.
