Saudi Arabia has tightened the norms of Hajj pilgrimage for this year, as only people residing in Saudi Arabia, can make it to the Mecca. On the wake of the corona pandemic, the Saudi Press Agency reported that the number of pilgrims would be limited this year, as only limited number of personalities from all nationalities (living in Saudi) can perform Hajj this year.
The decision was taken by the authorities in order to restrict coronavirus from spreading, as Mecca would be too crowded to control, if no restrictions are installed. Hajj 2020 would begin on July 28, while it ends on August 2nd.
