June 14: India’s Covid tally surging past new heights, with lower daily death toll figure

India’s Covid tally seems to be going beyond the calculations, as the ease of lockdown is steadily increasing India’s Covid figures. During the past 24 hours, the country has added up 11,929 more covid positive cases. However, the death tolls and recovery rate of the country has increased. 311 people have lost their lives during the past 24 hours. 1,62,379 people have recovered from the pandemic till now, whereas the country’s active patient figure stands at 1,49,348.

The total death toll in the country has reached 9,195, with this figure. Maharashtra leads the Covid chart of India, with 1,04,568 covid cases till now, with 3,830 death. Tamil Nadu follows then with 42,687 reported cases, with a rather low death toll of 397 till date. Delhi, Gujarat, Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh etc. are all experiencing an increase in covid cases. Meanwhile, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has convened a review meeting with senior minister and top officials in charge of fighting the pandemic.
