Covid is fastening up its progress in India. During the past 24 hours, a total of 28,637 fresh cases were reported in India. This happened to be the highest daily toll number till date in India. The country has also registered 551 new deaths during the last 24 hours. Now, this is the second consecutive day that the daily death toll in the country has gone past the 500 mark. With this, the pandemic has claimed a total of 22,674 lives from India so far. Right now, the total number of Covid positive cases in India stands shy of 8.5 lakh figure. Till date, at total of 8,49,553 cases have been reported in India.
Ministry of Health informs that the active cases in India stands at 2,92,258, whereas a total of 5,34,621 got cured/discharged/migrated. Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu and Delhi continue to lead India’s Corona chart.
