Instagram has added the feature of ‘Payments’ in its platform. The feature, which was added into the platform without much an advertisement, is right now live for a selected group of users in the US and the UK. The feature, which is already in existence across Messenger, WhatsApp and Facebook, would let users make purchases within the app itself.
In accordance with the Payment rules of Facebook, Instagram Payment functions using its native payment option. However, during the initial phase, the service would be limited across booking made with some selected restaurants and appointments. The feature is an extension of Instagram’s e – commerce operation plans. It would also rival Snapchat’s ‘Snapcash’.
