Commenting on their future plans in India, Sony Ericsson country chief said that the 5G business volume would well cross over $27 Billion by the year 2026. Company officials are placing high hopes on the Indian 5G sector, with the download speed in 5G network crossing well over 1Gbps. In line with the current trend, it would be mobile operators, would be able to carve out $13 Billion business, by 2026.
The Swedish giant is also placing high stakes on manufacturing segment, the revenue of which would reach $2.4 Billion by 2026. While the company has already started the trials of advancing from 4G to 5G networks in India, the Ericsson Radio System has been delivering 5G enabled radio products from 2015.
