Police has managed to catch the second accused in the case of a youth has been assaulted in Muvattupuzha. The 17 year old was taken into police custody by Sunday night itself. Police is in search of the primary accused in the case, Basil Eldos (22). It was on Sunday morning, which Basil, along with the 17 year old, did assault a youngster Akhil Sivan. Reports suggest that it was of the nature of honor killing, as Akhil and the sister of Basil were in a relationship.
Akhil and Basil were school friends, and it was during this time, which Akhil and the sister of Basil developed affection towards each other. Going in line with reports, Basil’s sister had warned Akhil of her brother’s intention in the early hours of Sunday morning. Seriously injured, Akhil was subjected to immediate operation. His condition has reportedly improved. Basil’s family informed the police that they were unaware of their son’s motives.
