In the case of molesting a nun, Kerala High Court has rejected the bail plea of Bishop Franco Mulakkal. The High Court, while rejecting the plea, said that the bishop has to face the court. Earlier, on March 16th, the Kottayam Additional District Sessions Court too had turned down the bail plea application of the Bishop.
Though Franco Mulakkal said that the case was built without a basis, the apex court of the state, however, didn’t turn down his claims. While approaching the court, Franco claimed that the authenticity of the witness’s testimony is objectionable. However, the court found that the primary evidences submitted in the case, are all against him. In due course of considering the evidences submitted against him, the court turned down the claims of Franco Mulakkal.
