Covid: Restrictions in flats and residential areas to be tightened in Kozhikode

Authorities are all set to tighten the controlling measures in Kozhikode. It is reported that authorities are well aware of the instance of rising Covid 19 cases in the district; the authorities have also asked people to avoid public gatherings, at any cost. In view of the instance of the rise in the number of positive in a flat, district collector has issued certain restrictions in apartments and flats n the district. The new measures are as part of the Kerala Epidemic Ordinance Amendment Acts 30 and 34.

With this, no program can be organized in flats and other residential units, which would create a public gathering. Apart from that, the following units are prohibited to be opened in flats – gymnasium, park, swimming pool and recreational areas. The common spaces in the residential areas/ flats are required to be sanitized using bleaching powder and sodium hypochlorite. Those who are in charge of sanitization should have to wear masks and gloves. Residential Associations would have to pay special attention towards curbing fake news regarding Covid 19.  The security officer of the flats/residential areas, should be vigilant, and pay special attention, if anyone is undertaking his/her quarantine period inside the premise.
