With the onset of northeast monsoon, Kerala will receive heavy rainfall in the next five days. The India Meteorological Department announced the onset of the northeast monsoon over south India on Saturday.
“Northeast Monsoon rains commenced over coastal Tamil Nadu, Puducherry & Karaikal and adjoining areas of south Coastal Andhra Pradesh today, the 29th October 2022,” tweeted IMD on Saturday.
Owing to the heavy rains, IMD has sounded yellow alert in six districts on Sunday.
