The untimely death of actor Sushant Singh Rajput, has really shocked the entire nation. It was on June 14th, that the actor was found death by hanging at his Bandra residence. Earlier reports suggested that Sushant was suffering from clinical depression. However, soon then some of the leading stars experienced a backfire, as fans of the star accused nepotism that killed Sushant at the tender age of 34. Apart from the leading figures such as Karan Johar, Sonam Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan and to name the rest, Sushant’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty too was slammed by netizens. His family members as well as fans were demanding for a CBI inquiry into his death. Well, even the likes of BJP MP Subramanian Swamy, too has come up with a similar demand.
That said last day saw the late actor’s girlfriend Rhea Chakraborty taking social media spaces to express her anguish. Reportedly, she had been subject to the questioning of close to 9 hours by the investigating officials. The actress, on her Instagram page, has made an appeal to the Union Home Minister Amit Shah for a CBI inquiry into the case of Sushant. She addressed herself as the girlfriend of Sushant Singh Rajput and said that she has been devastated by the death of Sushant Singh Rajput. She said that she has complete faith in the government; but, requested the HM for initiating a CBI enquiry into the matter. She also maintained that she wanted to understand why Sushant did this.
However, Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh has turned down the need for a CBI probe into this case. He maintained that Mumbai Police was capable of handling the case and said that the state force wouldn’t miss any aspect of the case, even the aspects of professional rivalry. Maharashtra HM also added that he doesn’t see any foul play in the investigation of the Mumbai Police, while making it clear that the details of the case would be shared once the investigation is completed. Mumbai Police has been doing several rounds of questioning, including the likes of Sanjay Leela Bhansali, Mukesh Chhabra, Sanjana Sanghi, and to name the rest.
