CUSAT improves NAAC ranking; Gets A+ grade

The Cochin University of Science and Technology (CUSAT) has been re-accredited with an A+ grade with a score of 3.39 out of 4 by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). It was given a 3.09 score in 2016.

NAAC is an autonomous body established by the University Grants Commission (UGC) to assess and accredit institutions of higher education in the country.

A seven-member NAAC peer team led by former VC of Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology, Odisha, Bijoy Kumar Nanda had visited CUSAT for quantitative analysis. The evaluation was based on seven criteria, including curriculum, teaching-learning and evaluation, research and extension, governance, student support, best practices and innovations.
